6 games scratch competition for 1st eight (8) stops with stepladder
8 games scratch competition for the 9th and final stop.
Format: This is a certified Adult/Youth The first eight stops will consist of 6 qualifying games either bowled in a 6gm qualifying set moving lanes each game (right moves right/left moves left) or 3 sets of 2 games head-to-head scratch matches (30 pins bonus to the winner of each game). For the 6 Gm Qualifying set, starting lanes are random, for H2H, bowlers will be paired off by average for the first match and then by total pins with bonus pins for the remaining matches. The final stop will consist of 8 qualifying games (format TBD). There are three age divisions. Bowlers born between 8/1/03 and 7/31/08 will be placed in the U20 Major Division. Bowlers born between 8/1/08 and 7/31/11 will be placed in the U15 Junior Division and bowlers born on 8/1/11 or later will be placed in the U12 Minion Division. Rotation of different stepladder types. Final Stop will be a JR GOLD Qualifier. Call or email Terri Johnson if you have any questions.
Dress Code – Goal of this dress code is to prepare bowlers for tournament competition in which a professional athletic dress is standard. Appropriate bowling competition attire must be worn (knee length cargo or walking shorts are allowed but no basketball shorts or yoga pants and skirts must be longer than fingertip length), no hats. Youth participants shall not wear apparel or use bowling equipment depicting alcohol, tobacco, gambling, an illegal substance, or inappropriate language/gestures during competition.
18-20 Year-Old and older Athletes: Must complete the free U.S. Center for SafeSport online education program in to compete with participants under the age of 18. Bowlers who turn 18 during this league season will have to complete the training before the next Big Sky Tour Event upon turning 18. Minor athletes are also able to take SafeSport but not required.
